Welcome to our San Antonio Bar Association Construction Law Section website! After a short lapse in activity during the early 1990s, the Construction Law Section of the San Antonio Bar Association was revived in the late 1990s and has grown to its current number of 120 members. With all of the residential and commercial development and construction currently ongoing in San Antonio and its surrounding areas, construction law issues arise on a frequent basis for a wide variety of practitioners. For this reason, the Construction Law section is made up of lawyers with quite a range of specialties and practices, varying from lawyers who exclusively practice construction law to those with other specialties in which construction law issues arise.
Considering the wide variety of transactional and litigation issues that can arise for a construction lawyer, the Construction Law section of the San Antonio Bar Association provides an excellent opportunity for continuing education and a forum for discussing and answering questions on construction law issues of all types. The section hosts luncheons for its members on the second Wednesday of every month at the Plaza Club beginning at 11:45 a.m. Guests are welcome to join us to see what the section is all about! Typically, we present a guest speaker, which has included lawyers talking about specific construction law topics, expert witnesses, people who work in the construction industry and government regulators and inspectors. If you would like to be a guest at our next luncheon or if you would like information on joining the section, please contact the chair, or the Bar Association at 210.227.8822.
